I’m Eric, your host, and after two decades in the tech world, I made a life-changing leap to this Caribbean paradise—a place I now proudly call home. Drawn by my passion for nature and water sports, particularly kitesurfing and wing foiling, Cabarete’s unmatched energy and cosmopolitan community captured my heart.

Together with my manager, Sonja, we’re dedicated to sharing this extraordinary destination with travelers from around the globe. Our beachfront luxury condos are fully equipped with all the amenities you need to feel at home, perfectly positioned in the heart of Cabarete’s main bay for effortless access to world-class foiling, dining, and nightlife. About Foil Drive Cabarete

Welcome to Cabarete Ocean Dream, your gateway to assisted foiling in Cabarete, Dominican Republic. I’m Eric Vimont, your host. After two decades in tech I moved here for the water. Together with guest manager Sonja, we run Foil Drive Cabarete as a lodging brand of SeaLane Escape Inc. — not the Foil Drive equipment manufacturer.

Our beachfront condos at Ocean Dream and Harmony sit on Cabarete’s main bay. Guests bring their own Foil Drive setup. We supply Max batteries and chargers to in-house guests and can arrange Paul Cooper clinics. We do not give in-house Foil Drive lessons and we do not rent full equipment. Puerto Plata (POP) is about 25 minutes away; Santiago (STI) is about 90 minutes.

 Verified We had a fantastic 9-day stay in Cabarete! The location was perfect—just steps from great restaurants, shops, and the beach, which made exploring the area so easy and enjoyable. The pool on the property was a daily highlight—clean, refreshing, and never too crowded. We also appreciated having plenty of towels provided, which made things super convenient.The staff on-site were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. Whether it was answering questions or helping with small needs, they always made us feel welcome. Eric, our host, was especially great—very responsive, clear, and thoughtful in his communication from the moment we booked. We were impressed with our driver who was recommended to us. He was available at any given moment to transport us around town. Would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Cabarete and we’d happily stay there again!

 Verified Fantastic location, easy walking distance (along the beach) to the heart of Cabarete beach bars and restaurants. Apartment looked exactly like all the photos. Was well stocked and clean. Easy access and check in via keypad. Very large communal pool and outdoor sitting areas. Very responsive and clear communication. Loved our stay… :)

 Verified Geweldig! Alle kamers waren super mooi en comfortabel. Dit is geen appartement, maar eerder een villa. We hebben heel hard genoten van ons verblijf en ik zal zeker terug komen. Ik wil niet teveel verklappen, het is beter om het appartement binnen te komen en de magische omgeving zelf te ontdekken… 110% recommend!!

 Verified Wir hatten ein traumhafte Zeit, die Lage und der gepflegte Garten mit dem Pool waren spitze. Zudem war es angenehm ruhig, so das man das Geräusch der Brandung hörte beim einschlafen. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

 Verified Place was perfect. Walk to stores bars just a great place. 10/10 Maid comes on day 3. She was great. Security and staff help all the time. Not looking for tips. Just a great experience. Highly recommend. Don’t need a rental car. They set up your travel to and from airport. Always early. Enjoy
